Western Maps and Stamp Series
A love of maps and a stamp collection led her to incorporate these items into acrylic collages, creating a unique grouping of western images. Having lived in the Southwest all my life, she treasures the lore and vistas here. The series consists of real stamps, cut up maps of Western states, and acrylic paints. Featured are NM's famous Kokopelli, Zuni Bear, Taos Pueblo, San Francisco de Asis Church in Taos, Native American on Horseback, Three Pots, Red or Green Chile?, Cowpoke, Up, Up and Away, and Texas Longhorn. Look carefully at the old historic US stamps portraying famous artists, persons and images.
